Janet Kloes, MMP, NCBTMB
She is a certified Medical Massage Practitioner. She is able to work with physicians, chiropractors and physical therapists to service medical prescriptions for pre & post medical procedures and rehabilitation protocol. She is registered with the NCBTMB (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). She holds certification in Trigger Point Therapy with the Muscle Melt Method; Energy work with Rieki; Simultaneous Muscle Release (SMRT); Rossiter Connective Tissue Release; Rossiter Respiratory for breathing difficulties and Vertigo and Vestibular Nerve Rehabilitation.
Since 1971 Janet has guided students and adults in muscle conditioning and management as a Physical Education teacher, Health Education teacher, Nautalis Women's Health Club Owner/Proprietor, and Coach of Gymnastics, Soccer, Cross Country and a Double Dutch Jump Rope performance team for the American Heart Association "Jump Rope for Heart" program.
In 1990 she returned to teaching and later graduated from Fox Valley School of Massage. In 2010 her family returned to Wichita where she joined the staff of Central Therapeutic Massage Group until 2013 when she established the medical massage practice of Therapeutic Massage Group located in the Hartman Oil Building.
Shirley Westerfield, MT, Reflexologist
Shirley brings 33 continuous years of full- time Reflexology to this facility. We are honored to have such a distinguished craftsman on our staff. She instintively traces through the organ channels of your feet and hands to the ending reflexes. Her moto- Step into Health with Reflexology and Rhodigandha. She also has a practicing and thorough knowledge of essential oils and their healing dispositions.
Shirley grew up in Kechi. After her marriage she raised her family in nearby Benton and later moved back to Kechi. In 1979 she studied reflexology from the International Institute of Reflexology out of St. Petersburg, Florida. She starterd her Reflexology practice in her home in Kechi which remains there today, 33 years later.
1982, she returned for Advanced Reflexology studies. Periodically she would be asked to fill some work hours for other businesses so in the 80's she worked at Individually Yours and in the 90's she worked at Chez Belle.
In 2001 she expanded her training by attending Butler County Junior College for Massage Therapy which she added to her home practice. Massage peeked her interest into the health benefits of essential oils. She discovered Young Living Essential Oils, studied intensely under the program's guidelines and later became a distributor of the oil for her home practice. Being in the complementary health practice of reflexology and massage therapy Shirley began researching holistic health practices. She concentrated on dietary anti oxidants which brought her in contact with Rhodi Gandha Herbal health product. She has used the product several years now and has become a distributor for Rhodi Gandha herbal drink.
Shirley enjoys her free time with her three adult children and her 11 grandchildren. They all live in the Kechi area. She is kept busy with the usual grandmom things. She has 10 grandchildren so she goes to their many activities, has them for sleepovers and fills in when her kids need help. Life is never dull at Shirley's house.
Ruth Lundstedt, MT
Ruth graduated from the Kansas School of Chinese Medicine in 2011 with skills in Tuina Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Deep Tissue, Energy work and Reflexolofy. After graduation she started Body Kneads Relaxation - a mobile massage business that allows clients to have their appointment in their homes or businesses. It is necessary to tailor each individual massage to the needs of her clients so her massages may include more than one modality.
